How to Drive a Car

The person driving should not be stressed. To do this, first take a deep breath. Then you need to familiarize yourself with the car you will be using. You need to know what each pedal is for or what functions the ones you need to use have.

What a person driving a car needs to know

1-GEAR : It is a system set up to determine the speed and direction of your vehicle.

2- CLUTCH PEDAL : This is the pedal you will use to change gears. It is located on the far left of the pedals.

3- GAS PEDAL : This is the pedal that helps you adjust your vehicle's speed. It is located on the far right of the pedals.

4- BRAKE PEDAL : This is the pedal that stops your vehicle. It is located in the middle of the pedals.

5- HANDBRAKE : This is the system that keeps your vehicle stationary.

After learning all these necessities, the driver is ready to drive. First, the seat and mirrors should be adjusted according to the driver, and the seatbelt should be fastened for safety. Then, if the gear is not in neutral, it should be put into neutral and the car should be started by turning the key. Put the car into first gear by pressing the clutch. Release the handbrake. While slowly releasing the clutch with your left foot, slowly press the accelerator with your right foot. The car will start to move. How you hold the steering wheel is also important while driving. The steering wheel should be held from the sides, so that neither hand grips the steering wheel too tightly nor leaves it too loose. If the vehicle being used is a manual transmission, it will be difficult to change gears rapidly at first. Later on, once you start to get used to it, it will become very easy. While driving in traffic, caution should be exercised when overtaking other cars, and overtaking should be done correctly. Before starting to overtake, you need to signal. Then, starting the overtake from the left of the vehicle you want to overtake, you do not change your lane or horizontal position until you can see the overtaken car in your rearview mirror. Additionally, there should be a distance of 25 meters between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you while driving. This distance will save you from an accident in case of a sudden stop of the vehicle in front or any other situation. After you are finished with your vehicle, you will need to park it. If you are just starting to drive, you should find easier places to park. This way, you do not take too much risk and avoid any accidents with your vehicle. While driving, focus on the road, so you should avoid other distracting elements. From the moment you set off, you must comply with the traffic signs and rules on the road. Therefore, learning traffic signs is important for the safety of both the driver and pedestrians and other drivers. It will be a bit difficult at first when driving because you are not used to it. Just as no one knows how to ride a bicycle beforehand, driving a car is similar to riding a bicycle; it is difficult at first, but the driver eventually gets used to it over time.
